PLANET BURGER

1/2 cup sunflower kernels

1 (16-oz.) can garbanzo beans

3 cups cooked brown rice

1 medium onion, chopped

1 medium carrot, shredded

1/2 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs

1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley

2 eggs, lightly beaten

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Vegetable oil for frying

8 slices French bread, toasted

Leapin' Lizards (Crunch Bars)

Ingredients

Vegetable cooking spray

1 (12-ounce) package miniature marshmallows

1/2 cup peanut butter 6

drops green food coloring

6 cups crisped rice cereal

32 chocolate chips

Directions

1. Lightly coat 8-inch square baking pan with cooking spray; set aside.

2. Combine marshmallows and peanut butter in large saucepan.

3. Place saucepan on burner

4. Turn burner on to low heat.

5. Cook, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted, about 10 minutes.

6. Add food coloring to marshmallows; mix well.

7. Add cereal to marshmallows; mix well.

8. Turn burner off.

9. Spoon cereal mixture into baking pan.

10. Spread mixture evenly into pan. Press down firmly using back of spoon.

11. Place pan in refrigerator and cool one hour.

12. Cut into 8 long, thin strips. Cut each strip in half to make 16 strips.

13. Remove strips from the pan.

14. Press chocolate chips onto both sides of one end of each strip to make lizards' eyes.

Makes 16 serving.

Nutrition

Each serving provides 164 calories, 3 grams protein, 5 grams fat, 29 grams carbohydrate, 1 gram dietary fiber, 0 milligrams cholesterol and 163 milligrams sodium.
