PLANET BURGER

1/2 cup sunflower kernels

1 (16-oz.) can garbanzo beans

3 cups cooked brown rice

1 medium onion, chopped

1 medium carrot, shredded

1/2 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs

1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley

2 eggs, lightly beaten

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Vegetable oil for frying

8 slices French bread, toasted

Sushi Snack Bites

Ingredients

12 fruit leather wrappers

1/2 cup semi-sweet white chocolate pieces

1 (10-ounce) bag marshmallows

2 tablespoons milk

6 cups crisp rice cereal

36 worm-shaped gummy candies

* * Dried fruit, licorice, or other candy can be used as an alternative filling for sushi rolls.

Directions

1. Unwrap fruit leather, remove clear plastic wrap, lay flat on large tray.

2. In large saucepan, combine chocolate pieces, marshmallows and milk.

3. Place saucepan on burner.

4. Turn burner on to low heat.

5. Cook, stirring constantly, until chocolate and marshmallows are melted, about 10 minutes.

6. Add cereal to marshmallows; mix well.

7. Turn burner off.

8. Spoon 1/2 cup cereal mixture onto each fruit leather piece.

9. Spread mixture evenly across fruit roll. Press down firmly using back of spoon.

10. Place 3 worm-shaped gummy candies along center of each fruit leather piece.

11. Roll up. Press to seal securely.

12. Cut each roll into 4 pieces.

Makes 48 sushi rolls.
